FRIDAY – Messy Day

YOU MAY GET WET, YOU MAY EVEN GET SOAKED BUT YOU DEFINETLY WILL GET MESSY.

10.30 – 11:30 –    CW team welcome on stage

11:30 – The Great Egg Catch – join the messy crew can you catch an egg without it breaking?

12:00 – Vinny  –

A wonderful clown with a gentle style, combining physical comedy, balancing feats, an array of juggling skills and uninhibited audience participation. Vinny makes the straightforward seem impossible and the seemingly impossible look easy.

Vinny is a simple fellow who is easily confused, he can’t tie a shoelace and has a memory like a sieve, but with a little help from his friends in the audience he is somehow able to perform astonishing feats of balance and co-ordination.

12:45 – 1:15pm – Join prof. Nitro and his not so able assistant, while they investigate how high they can send their rockets using the latest in aerospace technology.

1:15 – 2pm – Cosmo balloons – Join Cosmo and Vicky with their unique talent in balloon modelling on stage

2pm – Vinny

3.30 – 4pm: Water Fight against Paignton Fire Service, bring your water pistols and see if you can beat Paul’s team (The Firemen) in the biggest and best water fight in the UK

10.30 – 11am: CW team welcome on stage 11am – 1pm: “Pavement” Artist competition

11:00 – 11:30 Mr. Cosmo – The Children’s week linchpin will be on stage for a 30 minute magic show

11:30 – 12 Midday – Join Vicky, Paul and the Ents team on stage for “A minute to win it”

Midday – 1pm – Really Wild Encounters – Join Neil with his Interactive educational experience with a REAL difference

1pm  – 1:15pm – Another chance to take part in “A minute to win it”

1:30pm – 3pm – The Children’s Week air show, join the team make your paper areoplane in the craft marquee and see if yours flies the furthest.

From 3pm Fun, Frolics, Magic and Mayhem on stage with the Entertainments team

4:30pm – 5pm Daily prize giving and games on stage

Throughout the day

Barbara’s arts and crafts, join Babs in the main marquee for arts and crafts all day, lots of colouring, painting sticking and fun.

Join Torquay Museum in the craft tent on Tuesday! Make your own Japanese Koinobori Fish Kite or Samurai sword inspired by our Samurai Exhibition, make an ammonite or create a cat mask, handle objects and try on helmets from our handling collection! Join in the fun with Torquay Museum at Torbay Children’s Week!

Costa Coffee activities including the Smoothie Bikes, make your own smoothie on our very own smoothie bikes pedal as fast as you can to make a fast smoothie of your very own!

Graffiti artist workshop – Cleo Heard will be joining the children’s week holding a series of workshops.

Urban Canvass – Italian chalking art – on the prom (supported by Creative Torbay)

Geopark based artists Mark & Sarah Bell are bringing their stone age workshop to Children’s week to give young people the opportunity to explore and be inspired by our local geology and bring out their inner cave artist.

The Magical Butterfly – Look out for the Magical Butterfly walking around the green.  The joy of summer is always in the air with The Magical Butterfly & her crystals. This walkabout brings a big splash of colour and enchantment that will leave both adults and children absolutely spellbound
